Creator rights

Your story stays yours

You keep ownership of the experience you submit. MVToons produces a visual adaptation of it; that adaptation is a separate work, and the underlying story remains yours.

What you are granting us

By submitting, you are asking us to adapt and publish your story on this platform. That publishing right needs to be written down explicitly, and will be, before this prototype takes real submissions from the public.

What you are not granting us

Film, television, book and game adaptation rights are not assumed and are not covered here. Any commercial adaptation beyond publishing on MVToons would need a separate agreement with you.

Attribution is your choice

You can be credited publicly, under a pen name, or anonymously, and you choose per story. Anonymous means anonymous: your account name is never rendered on the published page.

Other people in your story

Real stories involve real people. Before publishing, an editor reviews the names, employers, schools and locations in your text and can change them with you. Your original words are always kept alongside the edited version — we never silently rewrite what you wrote.
